Breathability and print surface improves with increasing cotton content, but wind/waterproofing should not be expected. Cuff and waist ribs reduce heat loss; seam density affects overall weight and feel.

• For the winter collection, choose 300 gsm and above raising fabric for sweatshirts.
• For layering, 180-200 gsm ring-spun cotton in a long sleeve T-shirt is a good balance.

Printing Techniques: DTG or DTF?

Choosing the right printing technique for print-on-demand (POD) sales directly affects product quality and customer satisfaction. The most commonly used methods for sweatshirt and long sleeve t-shirt printing are DTG and DTF printing; both methods offer advantages on different fabric types.

DTG (Direct to Garment) printing gives a soft handle and breathable result on plain and tightly knitted surfaces with high cotton content. Ring-spun and combed cotton yarn offers a smoother surface, which is advantageous for fine details; in open-end or melange yarn, the texture can break the print. Dark colors require a primer (white) layer in DTG; pre-treatment and drying times are critical for color consistency. Small deviations between dye lots and fabric shades are natural and verification by sample printing is recommended.

DTF (Direct to Film) transfers provide a wide color gamut and high coverage on dark backgrounds; common on cotton/polyester blend sweatshirts and long sleeve t-shirts. Durability is high, but the handle can feel a little tougher than DTG; consider allowance for stretch in large-area designs. Yarn structure and surface roughness can affect the perception of transfer edges; pressure/temperature settings should be standardized for consistency. Periodic updating of profile and calibration in color management makes a difference in mass production.

• For dark colored products, plan DTF or DTG + white primer.
• Choose DTG for a breathable, soft finish and DTF for high durability and flexibility.
• Avoid micro-lettering and very fine lines on melange/gritty surfaces.
• Make a short test print on each model/fabric for color consistency.

Size Measurements and Mold Selection

The most common fit type in Podbul's sweatshirt and long sleeve t-shirt models is unisex regular fit. Women's models have a separate cut and are indicated on the product detail page. Adult size options are usually in the range of S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL, and it is recommended that you clearly share the size measurements in the product descriptions in your store to make it easier for users to choose the right size and reduce the return rate.

Basic references for choosing the right size:

• When measuring, spread the product on a flat surface and apply the tape measure from armpit to armpit.
• Add +2 cm of comfort to the chest size for layering allowance on a long sleeve t-shirt.
• To minimize shrinkage, turn inside out for the first wash and recommend low heat.
