Amazon Seller Ecosystem and Category Eligibility

Podbul automates the print on demand (POD) production and shipping process for those selling on Amazon stores. This structure is suitable for brands selling their own designs, entrepreneurs who want to sell without holding inventory, and sellers looking for fast production & shipping within the US. Considerations for category alignment:

  • Review Amazon category guidelines and restrictions in detail.
  • Plan the process in advance for categories that require approval.
  • Keep trademark registration, certification or authorization documents up to date. Consider GTIN/barcode use or exemption options.
  • Prepare headlines, bullet points, descriptions and images according to category standards.
  • Construct the variation matrix (size/color) clearly and consistently.
  • Carefully verify product content to avoid restricted products and policy violations

FBA vs Merchant Fulfilled (MFN): Choosing the Right Model with Podbul

On Amazon There are two basic shipping models: FBA and Merchant Fulfilled (MFN). Since the Print on demand (POD) business model does not hold inventory, the Merchant Fulfilled (MFN) model is more suitable for sellers working with Podbul.

In the FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) model, products need to be pre-stocked in Amazon warehouses. This structure can be advantageous for standard and fast-turnaround products, but is limiting for print on demand and personalized products due to the inventory requirement.

In the Merchant Fulfilled (MFN) model, orders are produced and shipped after the sale is made. Podbul automatically takes orders from Amazon into the production process; products are printed, packaged and shipped to the customer in the US-based production infrastructure. This model provides flexibility for POD sellers who want to sell without inventory risk.

Thanks to Podbul integration, the production and shipping steps of the orders are managed correctly; operational areas such as handling time are supported to remain consistent with your Amazon store.

Pricing, Shipping Settings and Podbul Panel

On Amazon, product prices, shipping templates and delivery times are determined by the seller through Amazon Seller Central. Podbul does not make decisions in these areas or perform processes such as automatic pricing (repricing).

The Podbul panel allows you to view orders from your Amazon store and track the post-order production and shipping process. In the Print on demand business model, no inventory is kept; after the order is created, the products are produced, packaged and shipped to the customer.

With this structure, sellers can centrally monitor the production and shipping process through the Podbul dashboard while continuing to manage their Amazon store settings through Amazon.
